Art with your life. Kensuke produces traditional Japanese porcelain tableware, as well as his own special brand of miniature figurines, sculptures and ornamental boxes in fine porcelain. One of his unique points is that he does all product processes himself. As a result of that, all his work has harmonious beauty.

What he wants to do is connect traditional Japanese craftsmanship to contemporary artwork. Pottery is something fragile. But if handled carefully it can last hundreds of years. His aim is to make things that will be loved a thousand years from now.

生活とともにあるアート。肥前磁器の伝統文化・技術をベースに、用途美の和食器からオブジェなどのアート作品まで、いろいろな制作に取り組んでいます。分業があたりまえの磁器制作の世界で、形づくりも絵付もすべて一人で行っています。一人でつくるからこそ実現できる、調和した美しさと力があると信じています。

常に磁器の新しい表現の可能性を追求しています。歴史や基本を大切にしてこそ、新しい文化が生まれると考えます。数百年後にも受け継がれ、愛されるものを作っていきたいと思っています。
